Founder & President

Susan MacNicol has over 20 years of business experience spanning several industries including media, entertainment, retail, higher education, and data. Her roles have ranged from marketing, employment branding, and client relations, to sales, recruiting and training.

Specific areas of focus include local and national sales, advertising, promotions and publicity campaigns; call center training and incentive programs; corporate and regional recruiting and employment branding; domestic and international marketing, events and sponsorships; client relations and business development.

Prior to establishing her consulting company, Susan held sales and marketing management positions at HSA – High-Speed Access Corp, STARZ Encore Group, Orbit Satellite and Radio Networks (Rome, Italy), Samuel Goldwyn Studios, Columbia TriStar Television Distribution and Columbia Pictures (Sony Pictures Entertainment).

Tami Wloch

Tami Wloch

Social Media Director

Tami Wloch’s career includes 20 years of corporate sales and marketing experience in retail, tourism, and telecommunications, plus entrepreneurial experience gained by starting and managing her own retail business. Her community background ranges from teaching in higher education to serving on committees and boards for several charity organizations.

As a sales executive, Tami negotiated million dollar contracts with telecom companies such as MCI and provided remote telecom programming and repairs for a national portfolio. While managing all business aspects of her two retail stores, Tami implemented branding campaigns that defined her products and services through print, radio, in-store design and cross promotions. She gained employment branding experience by recruiting, hiring and training a sales team that delivered $500k in sales in its first year.

An early adopter of digital marketing strategies, Tami executed complete advertising and PR campaigns which included websites, SEO, and email marketing.  Her PR strategies resulted in both local and regional print coverage and live press coverage of events. With exceptional creative and project management skills, Tami successfully produced trade show events and fashion shows including scouting locations, hiring talent, designing sets, coordinating AV and serving as Master of Ceremonies.

Tami has a BA from the University of Illinois and currently serves as a Board Member for the Great Lakes Adaptive Sports Association for disabled athletes.

Emily Guerin

Emily Guerin recently graduated Cum Laude from DePaul University with a specialized communication degree in advertising research. Her educational background ranges from mathematical sciences to marketing communication, and her professional experience includes retail sales and administrative coordination.

Emily’s most recent role was as an administrator in a small startup located in Chicago IL. She started by designing websites and creating social media communications for the company. She quickly assumed a general management role in which she wrote business proposals and purchasing agreements for high profile clients such as Walsh Construction and AT&T. Emily also led a corporate restructuring initiative to build the start up into a well-rounded business operation. This process included implementing new scheduling systems, producing human resource literature, as well as completely revising the interoffice communication system. As a DePaul student, Emily was involved in creating an integrated marketing strategy and presenting the plan to the management team at Starbucks corporate.

Diane Moca is a professional writer, public relations specialist and veteran journalist with more than 15 years of experience covering business, features, politics, news, entertainment and investigative stories. She has written extensively for all media platforms: television, radio, newspapers, magazines, websites, social media, newsletters and others.

Diane specializes in crafting unique and engaging stories on each subject she tackles. Her broadcast experience has given her the critical skills needed to create compelling videos for clients to share on the Internet. Diane has coordinated media campaigns for technology companies, real estate firms, utility providers, the hospitality industry and small businesses. She has written press releases, arranged press conferences and helped executives hone their message through her media training services.

Diane currently reports for “Business First AM,” a weekday business television program airing on 70 stations around the country. She also writes for the Naperville Sun and Suburban Life newspapers as well as Neighborhood Tourist, Chicago Parent and Working Mother magazines.

Diane has media contacts throughout the United States as a result of her stints in Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami and Denver. She has worked as an anchor, reporter, writer or producer for CBS, NBC, PBS, CNN, E! Television, KTLA (in Los Angeles), WCIU and CLTV (in Chicago), Natcom Global’s Sweeps Feed and the Mancow Morning Show, among others. She has also written for Us Weekly, the Los Angeles Daily News, Electronic Media, Satellite TV Week and many other publications. Diane has appeared as a guest on radio programs and is an audiobook narrator.

Diane grew up in the western suburbs of Chicago and received two bachelor’s degrees in communications and computer science from the University of Denver. After traveling the country to pursue her journalism career, Diane returned to her hometown to start a family and wait for the long-anticipated day that her beloved Chicago Cubs would finally win the World Series. She is an avid cyclist and enjoys watching her husband’s rock band and playing board games with their teenage son and daughter.

Corey Hammer

Corey believes that the voice of the consumer plays a strong role in building successful brands and helps brands establish strategic priorities and create their story before their story is created for them.

As a Burke-trained moderator, Corey has extensive experience in moderating groups and IDIs among professionals as well as consumers and students. His expertise in quantitative methods includes proficiency in the following areas: segmentation, key driver assessment, Discrete Choice, Max-Diff and Conjoint Analysis as well as field research that including mystery shopping. His insights are synthesized from primary, secondary, and internal sources to identify trends, and short- and long-term business implications for key stakeholders.

Corey holds a Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology with a focus on Social Cognition from DePaul University in Chicago and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. In addition, Corey is an accomplished magician (and believes that successful magic requires the ability to tell a good story, just like building a successful brand).
